WHAT WE'RE GONNA TALK

Just like in a cafe, we talk about everything. Nothing heavy. Just talk over a cup of coffee.

HAVING FEW WANTS

"Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few
wants." (Epictetus)

We have so many wants, if we want to be honest.

And we know exactly that most of our wants are not important and needed.

We never run out of wants. Especially now we live in a consumer era.
There are always hidden persuaders which keep on persuading us to want
something.

And true wealth is not in having many possessions, because it will
never stop if we keep on wanting anything. But in having few wants.

We have to be able to control our desire to having something. We
should differentiate between what we need and what we want.

In life, we need only few things which it is truly needed for living.
But we want so many things to satisfy our lust and desire.

THE HEALTHY PRINCIPLE

"When you learn, teach. When you get, give." (Maya Angelou)

The principle of "go in, go out" is a very "healthy" principle.

If we want to live in a healthy life, physically and mentally, we
should apply that principle in our daily life.

We should teach what we have learned in order to be able to learn
more. We should give what we get in order to be able to get more.

It should be maintained to be balance.

The imbalance of this principle will cripple the wellness of our being.

FREE OF LAWS CONDITION

"There is never a better measure of what a person is than what he does
when he's absolutely free to choose." (William M. Bulger)

Absolutely free means a condition where any law doesn't apply. Free of
laws. Zero law.

A condition in which we can do anything we want without being afraid
of the consequences of the law.

A condition when we do something bad, really bad and no rules or laws
against it.

In that free of laws condition what we choose to do will reflect what
and who we truly are.

NOT GETTING WHAT WE WANT

"Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful
stroke of luck." (Dalai Lama)

It is true that not getting what we want is something we don't like.

But to think it a bit further, sometimes it is a good thing.

Just remember, how many things we want in the last few years are not
good things and not really needed.

Some will put us into trouble if we own it today.

That is why when we don't get what we want. Don't think it as a lost.
But think it as something that will do good for us in the future.

PEACE CREATOR

"Peace can only be created by those who are at peace." (Deepak Chopra)

How can we tell something we haven't experienced yet?

How can we share something we don't have?

How can we create peace if we do not live in it?

Have it, live in it and share it with others.

THE MEASURE OF A LEADERSHIP

"One measure of leadership is the caliber of people who choose to
follow you." (Dennis A. Peer)

The big always follow the bigger.

The big won't follow the small.

That is the nature of life.

We are always able to identify the quality of a leader by knowing the
people who follow them.

JUST THE WAY WE ARE

"When you are content to be simply yourself and don't compare or
compete, everybody will respect you." (Lao Tzu)

When we come to the point where we can accept ourselves as who and
what we are. Happy with it. And don't bother to compare ourselves with
others. That is the point in our life that we are able to respect
others as who and what they are.

By doing this, we will gain respect from others.

THE FRAME OF MIND

"A picture of health requires a happy frame of mind." (Unknown)

The frame of our mind or the way of our thinking will determine the
condition of our life.

Stressed mind will create a stressful life. A peace of mind will
create a calm mind.

What happens in our mind will trigger what will happen in our life.

Filter the things that enter our mind. It is the ingredients that will
shape the way of our thinking. And in the end will create the life we
live in.

THE MAGNET

"Success is not to be pursued; it is to be attracted by the person you
become." (Jim Rohn)

It is like a magnet.

It pulls the success come.

Choose what and who will we become.

Prepare for it. Work on it.

If we wanna a be a basket ball player. Work on it. If we wanna be a
graphic artist. Work on it.

Learn, study, practice and never give up everytime we fail.

We will become like magnet that pull the success come into the person we become.

BUSY

The essential question is not, "How busy are you?" but "What are you
busy at?"  (Oprah Winfrey)

Being busy doesn't mean we are in the middle of doing important things.

It is not the "busy-ness" but what kind of things that make us busy.

Many people busy but don't produce anything.

Just busy only make us doing something without any purpose.

Busy at things important, so we will not spend our times in vain.

Busy with a purpose.

THE PERSONAL PROPERTY

"Every man has a property in his own person. This nobody has a right
to, but himself." (John Locke)

This property that nobody has a right is the right to be himself or herself.

Everyone of us has it. The old and the young ones. Man and woman.

It is within us since we were born. No one has any right to claim and
manipulate other's property.

Each of us has every right in the world to be themselves. We don't to fit in.

What we need is to discover who and what we really are and be it.

THE CHANGE AND THE BUTTERFLIES

"If nothing ever changed, there'd be no butterflies." (Unknown)

Change is not always negative.

It is true that change disrupt our comfort zone.

Comfort zone is not always a good situation or condition. It is more
like a current situation we know or familiar with.

We don't like being push out from our comfort zone and enter a zone we
don't familiar.

We, human being, hate the unknown.

That is the reason why we hate a change.

We have to remember that change can bring a good or better thing in our life.

Without change, butterflies won't exist and catterpillars will always
be catterpillars.

We like a better thing than what we have now. But we hate the process
to it. We like the destination, not the journey.

We have to change our mind that change is process to bring a better
things to our life.

BEING BORN TO DO SOMETHING

"I'm not afraid..I was born to do this." (Joan of Arc)

Joan of Arc believed the reason she lived.

She knew why she was born.

What she knew convinced her in what she did. And she didn't have any
fear to do what she believed eventhough she had to die for it.

But what she did change the course of history. And the world will
never forget her.

We have to know the reason we were being born. We have to believe it
and do what we believe without being afraid of being ridiculed or
making a mistake.

That will make us write our name in the history.

A CHOICE THAT REQUIRES EFFORT

"Happiness is a choice that requires effort at times." (Aeschylus)

Happiness does not depend on our surrounding.

It is a state of mind.

That is why it is a choice. A tough one. Because sometimes our
circumstances does not support us to be happy. It does not give us any
reason to be happy.

Then it is the choice of mind that determine us to be happy.

That is why effort is what we need to make that choice.

And many times we need it a lot.

WHAT WE THINK THAT MATTER

"Go after your dream, no matter how unattainable others think it is."
(Linda Mastandrea)

The most important thing in reaching our dream is what we think. Not
what other think.

Others may think that our dreams is impossible or ridicules. But it
doesn't change anything if we think that our dream is something
attainable and worth to be pursue.

But once we think that our dreams is something unattainable and not
worth to be pursue, that is the day our dream dies.

It is what we think that matter, not what others think.

WE ARE ALL CREATIVE

"Creativity is in our genes." (Unknown)

Every one of us is creative.

Never believe someone who says that not everyone is creative.

We are all creative. But everyone has its own degree of creativity.

We have to work on our creativity in order to expand it. It is like
training our muscle in the gym.

Do something differently. Read different kind of book. Eat a food that
we never eat it before. Listen to different genre of music. Many more
things.

All will expand our creativity.

JACKIE EVANCHO'S UNBELIEVABLE VOICE SINGS "TO BELIEVE"

TO KNOW MORE

"There is always more to know about everything." (Unknown)

Don't ever think that we have already learned enough about something.

We can still learn more about that particular thing.

When it comes about learning to know something, never feel enough.
Always want to know more.

Stay hungry, stay foolish, Steve Jobs said.

There is no limit about learning something.

The limit is in our mind. Not in the thing we want to know.

NEVER TOO LATE TO PURSUE YOUR DESTINY

As a professional speaker, I speak to tens of thousands of people of all ages from all walks of life. I constantly get feedback from those in their 50s, 60s, and 70s, advising me that it is too late for them to create their own destiny. They believe they are too old, too broke, too out of shape, and too tired to do anything about their future. They stubbornly believe achieving prosperity is only for those still in their 20s and 30s. Many of these people do not believe it is possible to create their own destiny. Limited by their own personal beliefs these people settle for less and never achieve prosperity.

The question I always ask my audience is the same question I pose to you: Are you creating your own destiny, or are you creating someone else's destiny? What do I mean by this? Consider the story of Cliff Young, a humble potato farmer in Australia, who

REMEMBER SMALL THINGS

I want to share nice true story by Mother Teresa. I am sure it can inspire everyone. "Let's be like lamps or candles to light people's life."

Some of my sisters work in Australia. On a reservation, among the Aborigines, there was an elderly man. I can assure you that you have never seen a situation as difficult as that poor old man's. He was completely ignored by everyone. His home was disordered and dirty.

I told him, "Please, let me clean your house, wash your clothes, and make your bed."

THE LOST DAY

"A day lost is never found." (Unknown)

A day lost?

How come?

Does every day that has passed is lost forever?

Right. But it is not in that sense.

We will lose the day if we don't fill it with something valuable,
meaningful and good for others.

Fill our day with something valuable, meaningful and good for others,
and we will never lose that day.

THE TRUTH ABOUT LONG HAIR

This information about hair has been hidden from the public since the Viet Nam War.

Our culture leads people to believe that hair style is a matter of personal preference, that hair style is a matter of fashion and/or convenience, and that how people wear their hair is simply a cosmetic issue. Back in the Vietnam war however, an entirely different picture emerged, one that has been carefully covered up and hidden from public view.

In the early nineties, Sally [name changed to protect privacy] was married to a licensed psychologist who worked at a VA Medical hospital. He worked with combat veterans with PTSD, post traumatic stress disorder. Most of them had served in Vietnam.

WASTED TIME, WASTED LIFE

"When time is wasted, life is wasted." (Unknown)

The years of our life is composed of time.

When we wasted our times by doing something without any value or
meaning, it means we wasted our life.

Do something valuable and meaningful will make our life valuable and
meaningful as well.
Both are within our ability to create. Whether we want to waste our time or not.

Watch the way we choose.

NEXT "THUNDERBOLT" VERSION DOUBLES SPEEDS AND CAN MULTITASK

We're not far off from the introduction of Intel's next-generation Haswell processors, but this isn't the only new technology that Intel has in the hopper. In a presentation at this year's National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show, the company also took some time to detail upcoming enhancements to its high-speed Thunderbolt interface.

SOME THINK THAT CHER DIES

Twitter is notorious for killing off the living, sometimes thanks to a hoax and sometimes, as was the case on Monday, through an unfortunate hashtag.

#Nowthatchersdead popped up on Twitter following the news that Britain’s first female prime minister, Margaret Thatcher, died at 87. But thanks to its lack of capitalization, some fans of the singer Cher read it as Now That Cher’s Dead and started panicking:

“Did Cher die?! #nowthatchersdead”

MARGARET THATCHER, EX BRITISH PRIME MINISTER, DIES AT 87

Tributes continue to be paid at home and abroad to Baroness Thatcher after her death at the age of 87.

David Cameron said she had been a "great Briton" while US President Barack Obama called her a "great champion of freedom and liberty".

The funeral of the former prime minister is expected to be held next week.

TAKE NOTE OUR OWN FAULTS

"Take note of your own faults and leave others' alone." (Unknown)

It is easy to find others' faults.

We will be able to write a very thin novel about others' faults.

But that is not an honorable deed. No one is perfect. That is for sure
we will find faults in others.

Leave it there.

Take note our own faults. No justification. Just admit it. Take note of it.

Be honest to ourselves.

Most of the time we will find a reason why we made that faults. It is
because we don't want to admit the faults, the mistakes we made. We
always try to blame it to the reason behind our faults.

And that's why we make the same faults, mistakes, over and over.

We won't be able to correct ourselves if we could not admit our
faults, mistakes without any excuses.

Now start to take note our own faults.

COMPOUND IN RED MEAT, ENERGY DRINKS LINKED TO HEART DISEASE IN CLEVELAND CLINIC RESEARCH

A dietary compound abundant in red meat and used as a supplement in energy drinks, energy pills and some weight-loss treatments has been found to promote hardening of the arteries, according to a study released Sunday by a research group at the Cleveland Clinic.
The finding may help explain why some people, even when they get their cholesterol under control, still suffer ill effects from a diet high in meats such as beef, venison, lamb, duck and pork.

Boston Dynamics is no Geppetto and PETMAN no Pinnochio, but someone must have wished on a phosphorous flare—decked out in chem-resistant camo and a dystopic gas mask, this robot couldn’t look more human.

RICK WARREN'S SON COMMITTED SUICIDE

The weekend's sermon at Saddleback Church was "Surviving Tough Times," a theme Pastor Rick Warren planned before his youngest son killed himself with a gun Friday.

Matthew Warren, 27, committed suicide "in a momentary wave of despair" at the end of a lifetime struggle "with mental illness, dark holes of depression and even suicidal thoughts," the pastor wrote to the staff of his Southern California megachurch.

JOURNEY TO SUCCESS

"Success is a journey of consistent, persistent performance." (Kevan Lillace)

Consistent, we need to believe in what we have chosen. No matter what
the people say. No matter what happens around us.

Persistent, we have to be able to own nerves of steel. Not give up
easily. Fall six times, rise seven times attitude.

Theses two performances in our life will bring us arrive at the
destination success.

THE DANGER AND THE OPPORTUNITY

"Wherever there is danger, there lurks opportunity; whenever there is
opportunity, there lurks danger." (E. Nightingale)

Danger and opportunity walk hand in hand.

Don't loose heart whenever there is a danger. Don't loose alertness
whenever there is an opportunity.

Alert is the state of mind. Courageous is the attitude of the heart.

With those two, walk the streets of life and be a winner.

BE NICE TO STRANGERS

"Be nice to strangers. You never know in what setting your paths may
cross again." (Unknown)

Some says that the world is small.

It is because many times we met someone who turned out having anything
to do with the people we know.

That is why it is important to watch the way we behave toward others,
even to a strangers.

The one we met today in the bus stop can be the one we will meet again
in the next few months in the business meeting.

We just never know.

Just imagine if we treated that person rudely, what will happen in
that business meeting.

Be nice to everyone. To the ones we know and to the ones we don't.

THE MIRROR OF OUR LIFE

"Our environment, the world in which we live and work, is a mirror of
our attitudes and expectations." (E. Nightingale)

Don't blame the environment and the world around us, if it is not a good ones.

Because both are the reflections of our attitudes and expectations.

Bad attitudes and low expectation will create a gloomy environment and
bad negative world.

Change our attitudes and expectations will change the whole things around us.

All is depending on us.
