Need some creative, out-of-the box ideas? Try adding a little jolt to your next brainstorming session.
Researchers from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill have found that stimulating the brain with electrical impulses boosts creativity. The impulses, researchers say, activated specific brain waves associated with originative thinking, and people who were buzzed scored significantly higher on a test of creative thought.
Time to kiss writer’s block goodbye.

COFFEE DRINKERS ARE MORE LIKELY TO BE SUCCESSFUL
I love coffee. I hope you do too. There is a ritual that comes with making it and the smell is wonderful. Perhaps you drink coffee all the time or merely sometimes, yet do not quite fully understand how pivotal it is to your success. If so, here is some news for you!
1. They are more physically active
When caffeine enters your blood stream, it acts like fuel. It also increases the adrenaline level in your body to significantly enhance your physical performance. Some suggest that you have a cup of coffee roughly an hour before you hit the gym or engage in a physically engaging exercise.

WHICH VEGETABLES HAVE THE MOST PROTEIN
Vegetables aren't typically known for being a great source of protein, but there are some sneaky ones out there that contain a decent amount—so we asked Emily Gilbert, R.D., for the best plant-based ways to get this essential nutrient.
Something important to keep in mind: "Plant proteins are 'incomplete' proteins, meaning they don't contain all of the essential amino acids," says Gilbert. To make sure you get the different types of amino acids you need, make sure to combine these veggies with whole grains.

We all know that maintaining a healthy diet is vital in terms of diabetes prevention and treatment. Generally, the advice given to diabetics is relevant to the general population as well: consume adequate vegetables, fruits, legumes, whole grains, low-fat dairy products, poultry and fish, and less industrial sweets and foods high in fat and salt. It is known that patients who use professional advice and expert dieticians and nutritional supervision have a much better chance to maintain balanced levels of sugar, and avoid the complications of the disease. Diabetics should also keep meals at regular times throughout the day to avoid sharp rises in blood sugar levels.

CHILLI BURNS AND MILK SOOTHE THE PAINS
Whether it’s a few flakes on a pizza or the spiciest vindaloo known to humankind, most people can tolerate or even enjoy the tingling, burning sensation chilli can bring.
So how does chilli deliver its sting? And why is it that milk can take the edge off a spicy meal, while water doesn’t work as well?
Our senses of taste and smell are collectively known as the chemosenses; they detect certain chemicals in the environment.

HOW LONG WE HAVE TO TAKE A NAP FOR OUR BIGGEST BRAIN BENEFITS (video)
Taking a nap, we’ve seen time and again, is like rebooting your brain. Everyone likes to get a quick nap in every now and then, but napping may be as much of an art as it is a science. The Wall Street Journal offers recommendations for planning your perfect nap, including how long to nap and when.
The sleep experts in the article say a 10-to-20-minute power nap gives you the best “bang for your buck,” but depending on what you want the nap to do for you, other durations might be ideal. For a quick boost of alertness, experts say a 10-to-20-minute power nap is adequate for getting back to work in a pinch.

HOW TO KEEP MOSQUITOS AWAY (video)
The summer is such a wonderful time to be outside enjoying life, but if you live anywhere near trees, you know that mosquitoes can sometimes get the best of you! Nothing drives a person inside faster than a horde of hungry mosquitoes that just won’t quit!
I’m also not a big fan of chemical bug spray – I don’t like the idea of spraying that stuff on myself, my kids, or even my pets! I’ve always wondered if there was an effective way to keep the bugs away without the possibility of chemicals seeping our clothes and skin – and you know what? I think I’ve found it!
See the video below

HERE IS HOW TO MAKE YOUR LIFE HARDER
“Life is not complex. We are complex. Life is simple, and the simple thing is the right thing.” (Oscar Wilde)
When we were young life was easier, right? I know sometimes it seems that way. But the truth is life still is easy. It always will be. The only difference is we’re older, and the older we get, the harder we make things for ourselves.
You see, when we were young we saw the world through simple, hopeful eyes. We knew what we wanted and we had no biases or concealed agendas. We liked people who smiled. We avoided people who frowned. We ate when we were hungry, drank when we were thirsty, and slept when we were tired.

THE MAGIC OF DRINKING WATER
Sufficient daily water intake is vital for virtually every function within our bodies yet fewer than one in five of us drinks enough. Read on to see the results of this experiment.
Sarah Smith is a 42 year old mother of two young kids in the UK. She, like many others, openly admitted to not drinking the recommended 2 to 3 liters of water daily. She suffered from poor and sluggish indigestion and regular headaches. Following consultations with medical professionals for both issues she decided to take heed of the advice given – in both cases she had been told that she needed to up her intake of water.
