What is Life?
It's a journey through a way,
Through which we must go-
Away and away…
What is Life?
It's a very tough game,
Performance is what-
Brings us the name…
What is Life?
It's today full of sorrow,
Face this eye to eye-
Joy will come tomorrow…

LIFE IS GOOD
Life is good no matter how
you knit it up
or unravel it.
Pure and simple
Life is good
when you are knitting.
Life is good
No matter how
you sing it
whether the tune
is sweet or not.
Life is good
when you are singing.

EVERYTHING WE NEED IS ALL INSIDE
Grass grows
No one tells it
How to grow to.
River gently winds
Downstream.
No one tells it
How to flow to.
Seeds fall from the tree.
Embedded into the earth.
Flourishes into new life
Again and again.
No one reminds that it's
Time to plant.
The ocean waves
Ebbs to and fro
In natural rhythm
With the moon.
A curious and peaceful dance.
No directions included.

CREATIVITY: READ A POEM TODAY
A poem can deepen your concentration, soothe and stimulate.
Poetry has been a healing tool since the shamans, who chanted poetry for the wellbeing of the tribe. In modern times, Freud recognized the genuis of poetry: ‘Not I, but the poet discovered the unconscious,’ he said.
Today, people read and write poetry especially during contemplative periods of their lives, crises, or times of great excitement--when mourning or falling in love.
If you are interested in writing poetry, for healing or selfexpression, try these tips:
● Create some time alone and write for five minutes continuously. Don’t stop to think, write whatever comes into your head.

THE SECRET OF LIFE
Every day goes by like the last
It seems that time flies too fast
I close my eyes and ask it to stop
I look at the clock and another minute has passed
I think to myself…
What would I do if I weren't consumed
Consumed by the world and all that it is
The obligations attached to being successful and popular
What would I do?

THIS YEAR I START
Last year I planted a seed,
This year I start watching it grow...
This year I start with Thanks
This year I start with true Happiness
This year I start by Letting Go of last year
This year I start by Appreciating, everything I have

OUT OF FRENZY INTO FOCUS
You can choose
Panic or poise
Excitement of racing like a rabid dog after
every elusive impossible prize
or
Pacing steadily towards a dream that's real.
How to retrieve composure that has been
needled with poisonous stings of office politics?
Nature's balm- hugging solid, ancient trees
Marching headlong into fierce cleansing winds
Swimming sturdily length after soothing length
Soothing serenity basking in rosy glow of
radiant sunset.

I WONDER
Many times I wonder, why people fight
Does it really matter who's wrong & who's right?
I wonder…
Aren't they just satisfying their ego,
While arguing with their so-called foes?
I wonder if life is so long,
Is the power of love no more strong?
Many times, I wonder ...
How can silly stupid things like ego dominate love?
Where is the messenger of peace, the beautiful dove?
I wonder, I wonder ...

THE 15-YEARS-OLD-KID'S POEM: I WILL NEVER GIVE UP
I will never give up
No matter what the odds are
No matter what people say
No matter how far
I will never give up
If I throw it away time after time
If I am one step behind try after try
If I miss dime after dime
I will never give up
Even when it seems all over
Even when no one else believes
Even when it seems I can go no further
I will never give up

STRENGTH OF A MAN
The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders.
It is seen in the width of his arms that encircle you.
The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice.
It is in the gentle words he whispers.
The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has.
It is how good a buddy he is with his kids.

CLARITY
I took a walk today...
not literally, but I took a stroll through my mind.
I needed to figure out some things,
and I was afraid of what I might find.
Most of my thoughts were just nonsense,
which most of the time makes the best sense.
Now was time for me to stop and think what's really important to me.
Numerous thoughts gathered... most intense.

KAHLIL GIBRAN: THE SEVEN SELVES
In the stillest hour of the night, as I lay half asleep, my seven selves sat together and thus conversed in whisper:
First Self: Here, in this madman, I have dwelt all these years, with naught to do but renew his pain by day and recreate his sorrow by night. I can bear my fate no longer, and now I rebel.
Second Self: Yours is a better lot than mine, brother, for it is given to me to be this madman's joyous self. I laugh his laughter and sing his happy hours, and with thrice winged feet I dance his brighter thoughts. It is I that would rebel against my weary existence.

UNFOLDING THE ROSE
A young, new preacher was walking with an older, more seasoned preacher in the garden one day. Feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was asking the older preacher for some advice. The older preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals.
The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the will of God for his

A RAY OF HOPE
I can't see the stars tonight.
Shadowed by silence,
I close my eyes tight.
Pray against the odds of uncertainty
All I want is to believe.
Asking so many questions, only wanting one truth
I realize confusion is tainting my youth.
I want to wish upon a star
But the sky, tonight, seems so very far.
Shadowed by silence,
I close my eyes tight.
Pray against the odds of uncertainty
All I want is to believe.
Asking so many questions, only wanting one truth
I realize confusion is tainting my youth.
I want to wish upon a star
But the sky, tonight, seems so very far.

DIFFERENT LIVES
Every single one of us lived our lives a different way.
Some of us grew strong, while others grew weaker by each day.
Some of us were healthy, while others were sick.
Some of us flew through the day, while others watched the minutes tick.
Some of us ran to help those in need,
While others took advantage and strengthened their greed.
Some of us grew strong, while others grew weaker by each day.
Some of us were healthy, while others were sick.
Some of us flew through the day, while others watched the minutes tick.
Some of us ran to help those in need,
While others took advantage and strengthened their greed.

SPECIAL ONE
We are all special in some way but those individuals
Who live each day handicapped
Are the true special people,
I can say.
Overcoming trials and tribulations
Of doubt and despair
Of ever becoming good enough or accepted
In society today.
Wanting to become one of the accepted
Instead of one of the lesser few.
Not to be left out but let in as if saying
"I can feel too".
Who live each day handicapped
Are the true special people,
I can say.
Overcoming trials and tribulations
Of doubt and despair
Of ever becoming good enough or accepted
In society today.
Wanting to become one of the accepted
Instead of one of the lesser few.
Not to be left out but let in as if saying
"I can feel too".

TRUST DEFICIT
There are some people who do not behave as they should.
They do not trust anybody and do not deserve to be trusted.
They remain cocooned in their own world , still want to rule.
It is futile to explain to them with regard to ethics, morale and rule.
They do not trust anybody and do not deserve to be trusted.
They remain cocooned in their own world , still want to rule.
It is futile to explain to them with regard to ethics, morale and rule.

LIVE OUT EACH DAY
Click for larger image |
Don't plan for the future, don't hide from the past
Smile at strangers and you just might change a life
Offer kisses and hugs even in pain and strife
Don't count all your money, count all your friends
Don't look to the dark side as a means to the end
Shake off your stresses, your worries, your cares
This life is a challenge, so take on the dares

FORGET ABOUT THE NUMBERS
If you can't be the very best
Then shoot for second best
Numbers don't mean a doggone thing
When fitting in the scheme of things
In any given game of challenge
Competition can be forceful and swift
Only one is crowned the title of Number One
No matter how close the sift
Everybody can't be Number One, not even Number Two
So forget about the doggone numbers, and do what you have to do
Don't let the numbers fool you, think less about what they mean
Remember, they're only numbers, the challenge is to keep your mind clean
Then shoot for second best
Numbers don't mean a doggone thing
When fitting in the scheme of things
In any given game of challenge
Competition can be forceful and swift
Only one is crowned the title of Number One
No matter how close the sift

LIFE IS A JIGSAW PUZZLE
Life is a jigsaw puzzle
It's not always fun and games
Life is what you make of it
And nothing ever remains the same
Life can test your courage
It can test your inner strength to endure
It can test your mental psyche
Life is a challenge for sure
It's not always fun and games
Life is what you make of it
And nothing ever remains the same
Life can test your courage
It can test your inner strength to endure
It can test your mental psyche
Life is a challenge for sure
